It is perhaps the most striking building in Visegrad, and is often referred to colloquially as Visegrad Castle, highlighting the cultural significance of the awe-inspiring complex perched atop Castle Hill. The permanent exhibitions of the Citadel include the Holy Crown exhibition, the Castle History exhibition, the Panopticon (commemorating the 1335 Visegrád Royal Meeting), the Medieval Weapons Exhibition, the Gentleman’s Hunt in the Middle Ages, and the Medieval Open-Air Warfare Exhibition.
